Thrombocid Cream Ointment Forte 5mg/g 60g Tube Strong

This medicine is an Cream ointment for skin use that applied to the skin improves blood flow favoring the dissolution of clots.

Thrombocid Cream is an ointment for cutaneous use that improves blood flow when applied to the skin.

It belongs to the pharmacotherapeutic group of topical antiverics.

Local relief from varicose veins and superficial bruises.

Ointment to improve local blood supply and help remove small blood clots to provide relief from the symptoms of superficial venous disorders such as heaviness and tightness caused by varicose veins in adults and superficial bruising caused by impacts in adults and children above the age of 1.

Thrombocid Cream Ointment 5mg/g is indicated in the following situations:
Mild to moderate muscle pain, contusions and post-traumatic pain.
Topical adjuvant therapy of varicose syndrome.
Complications of treatment with injectables (superficial thrombophlebitis, effusions / hematomas).

How to use:

Follow these instructions unless your doctor has given you different directions. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.

Adults and children over 1 year old. Apply a thin layer of ointment to the affected skin area, 3 or 4 times a day.

Children under 1 year old. Thrombocid Forte is not recommended for use in children under 1 year of age due to lack of information in this population.

Apply the preparation by performing a light massage to facilitate penetration and wash your hands after each application. There is usually no need for bandage, although it can be covered with gauze or compress if thought necessary. If symptoms worsen or last longer than 5 days, or irritation or worsening occurs, stop applying and consult your doctor.

If you think the action of Thrombocid Forte is too strong or too weak, tell your doctor or pharmacist.

Composition:

The active substance is pentosane polysulfate sodium. Each gram of ointment contains 5 mg of sodium polysulfate pentosan. The other ingredients (excipients) are Ketostearyl Alcohol, Cetomacrogol 1000, Glycerol (E422), Propylene Glycol, Decil Oleate, Phenoxyethanol, Methyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E218), Ethyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E214) and Water

Don’t use Thrombocid Cream Forte :

If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to pentosan sodium polysulfate or any of the components of Thrombocid Cream Forte. If you have significant clotting disorders. Do not apply to open or infected mucous membranes, ulcers and wounds.

Take special care with Thrombocid Cream Forte as:

This medicine is for skin use only (on the skin). It should be used only on intact skin. Eye contact should be avoided. In case of venous problems caused by blood clots (such as thromboembolism), it is recommended to apply the product gently and without massage. It should not be used long-term or in very large areas of the skin.

Use of other medicines

It is not recommended to apply other skin preparations in the same area. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines taken without a prescription.

Pregnancy and lactation

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using any medicine. You should not use Thrombocid Ointment Forte during pregnancy or lactation unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
