As featured in Marie Claire’s top 5 beauty essentials. This cream boosts your skin’s natural ability to repair itself. It’s a saviour for sunburned skin.
Mr. Wenmaekers French chemist, created the formula BIAFINE ® in 1971 to care for his daughter who was accidentally burned. She was so impressed by the calming effect of the emulsion they decided to submit the form to hospitals, where its beneficial effects have been tested in situ on burns to relieve post-radiotherapy. Thus, the product was officially released in 1976. Since then the drug BIAFINE ® emulsion has been passed from generation to generation
Found in French medicine cabinets for over 25 years, this multi purpose water based Emulsion cream is used by a vast percent of French people and it’s increasing in popularity around the globe for its unique properties.
Biafine Cream 186g, is a protective and soothing emulsion used in the treatment of burns, uninfected superficial wounds and redness after radiotherapy.
It effectively heals the skin after:
• Sunburns and minor scrapes
• 1st and 2nd degree burns including radiation therapy
• Post cosmetic surgery skin, laser peels, dermabrasion
Its herbal base easily penetrates onto the skin to hydrate deeply and soften scar-tissue, dead ‘superficial’ skin, and promotes anti-bacterial processes for less contamination.
Consisting of Trolamine and 75% of water, the Biafine cream emulsion creates and maintains a humid climate favorable to the cure of superficial and small burns, including sunburns.
Biafine brings the water into the dermis and the thicker the applied layer, the greater the amount of hydration.
Biafine Cream brings a calming sensation since the first application; It should be applied in a thick layer until the skin is discarded and should be repeated two to four times a day.
As its formula causes a semi-occlusive effect, Biafine Cream isolates the lesion from exogenous contaminations and controls the loss of water by perspiration.
How to Use :
Treatment of superficial and small burns, including localized sunburn: apply in a thick layer until skin refuses. Get penetrated by a light massage.
Renew 2 to 4 times a day.
